All for Love!

I'm happy that I can finally share this with everyone, a different job from me . . . this was actually a collaboration of a few artists. I worked with the animation company Nathan Love who have done some amazing commercials, very talented guys. They created a baby-like cupid with no hair or wings and the gun, it was handed to me as a pencil drawing. Another artist painted the background. This was an interesting job because I didn't do any drawing besides the hair and wings . . . my part in this was to paint the cupid and gun so that it felt like and old "Victorian" painting . . . this was a challenging job and was a lot of fun doing something different!

The final billboard hangs in a train station somewhere in Switzerland, 30ft x 100ft . . . . crazy!

jason-
I really think the past few jobs show that your talent extends well beyond caricature. How did you go about painting something of this size? Was it done in 300 dpi at 100 ft???!
I cant imagine a photoshop file that size. Your technical knowledge is a wealth to be shared online, thanks for your time,
jon

Thank you so much everyone! I was given a pencil sketch by them and I pained the cupid and gun all at 300 resolution, about 12" in height . . . . they said that would be fine . . . . I'm not sure how it looks that great that large? They assured me it would be fine and so I gave it to them, trusting they knew what they were doing, obviously they did. It's pretty cool seeing it so large!

A real beaut Jason. Collaboration is a rare treat amongst artists as many operate as lone wolves (wolfs). Warhol had a very cool collaborative network in that he gathered many artists to the big art party. I dig the idea of an "art factory," - kind of like a boiler room of cutting edge ideas and new works.
