Progress of an Acrylic Bauer!
As I've mentioned on previous posts, I am currently in the middle of a few different paintings for various clients. Hopefully I'll be able to share some of those soon.
For now, here are two steps or phases I have saved of an acrylic that I'm painting for Robert Bauer. The image on top is basically my block in, and the second image is as far as I got today painting.
I'll continue to post my progress with this, I hope to finish this one soon.

It's finished already!!please don't make it to smooth!
that's looking really cool Jason!
Looks great so far Jason, cant wait to see it finished !
really, really niceeeee Jason...!!!!
Excellent piece Jason.. keep it around for your next Pete Townshend job too... no sense reinventing the wheel. I think you might be a natural to do the official portraits of some Whitehouse people - a new crop is ready and waiting!
Oops.. should have finished my coffee before spelling White House.. heh
Can't wait to see it finished, my biggest regret was I didn't out-bid, I think he got a bargain!
BRILLIANT!!!!!:o)
I never really understood painting in acrylic? Do you water the paint down and do washes?
Great work as always Jason! You're caricatures are amazing and I love that you are so consistent with your blog!
Thanks
Hi jason! just awesome, all the best!!!
Thank you guys, I'm working on it right now . . .
Niall, maybe we can work something out some day, you're a great guy, was fun hanging out with you!
Jeff, I do water my paint down, I paint opaque as well as transparent . . . I think about values most the time, if I can do that I have found that I can paint in any way I want, get many different effects and pull off a decent painting . . . all about values!
What colors do you mix to get your skin tones?
I like the transparent passages coming thru, the variation you give in this one piece...very nice!!!
daaahd
Thanks Dad . . . I'm hoping to finish this one soon . . . I'm trying to find a happy-medium between tight and loose.
thanks gan infonya.
