Dan Auerbach
Dan Auerbach is the front man for The Black Keys, one of my favorite bands. Dan has recently released his first solo album. If you like rock and blues, this CD is a must!
* There have been some comments about the lighting being a bit odd or that Dan seems a bit separate from the environment. This was a deliberate choice on my part. I wanted it to feel a bit off, and a bit creepy.
Detail.

Great painting! though admittedly a little creepy. and a great band too, I'll have to give his solo album a listen.
the last few paintings have had a great traditional look to them, are these totally digital?
Beautiful work man. This is a tough lighting situation and you nailed it.
You always, ALWAYS impress the crap out of me. I think you are the best of the best. Also I appreciate that you posted the schoolism video. Thanks!
Wow Jason once again you did it man!!!! Great lighting, it gives the perfect mood for the subject matter! I love it man!!
Not familiar with the musician, which may be why I find this really creepy. Actually, I think it's that he seems to exist in another lighting situation than his environment, but his rendering is terrific of course, and the jacket has a fantastic brushy look that you ought to keep exploring.
woa!
It seems that the rendering of the skin is different from what you do before... it looks pretty real and disturbing.
Do you know Mastodon?
Realistic and really really expresive, fantastic way of looking. I´m taking notes to listen to him.
Como siempre, impresionante!!!
saludos
Awesome tribute Jason! What a great painting! I love that he has a Hacienda shirt on, nice!

Very impressive work man. I´m agree with Sagan Lacy about the lighting situation, however, it´s an amazing piece and the rendering is terrific.
