Society of Illustrators 53! and the 2010 Editorial & Design Awards
Some cool news . . . my painting "Blow Hard" which was painted as a cover for the Miami New Times was accepted in the Society of Illustrators 53 show!
This just in . . . I just found out that my Obama cover for The Utne Reader Won 1st for the 2010 Editorial & Design Awards! I want to thank Stephanie at Utne Reader for choosing me to paint this cover!

Congrats Jason, awesome work and well deserved honors.
"Blow Hard" was an illustration that made me go back again and again because there was so much to take in in one piece. The humour, composition, lighting, oh yes-the caricature element too! That's just it, all of the elements had equal amounts of impact. An epic piece.
