Roof Top Plein Air

Today I climbed up onto the roof of my building in Uptown and did this Plein Air looking south towards downtown Chicago.
9x12 Oil, 2 1/2 hour study.

Nice Jason.. makes me home sick.. been away for 25 years.. heh. I plan a trip out there in the Fall... you up for some plein air.. Chicago style?

OH HECK YEAH! Let me know when you'll be in town and we'll paint up a storm! Glad you like it, I think I'm starting to get the hang of it . . . still a lot to learn, but having a lot of fun along the way!

I wouldn't think this would have been possible on an asphalt or tar surface. It was stinkin' hot yesterday! hahaaa...

a bit of breading thrown on ya, and it woulda been arteest alla shake'n bake!

Wow you are so prolific - I've been on holiday for a week and you've posted a new blog's worth of work! Rather than comment on each I'll just say here - it's all great! I love your plein air work - really fabulous! and the piece you created in 10 hours - just crazy! The sketches are wonderful - and your brothers portrait is superb! Fabulous
