Al Gore warm up sketch!
I'm trying to learn how to use Painter X . . . I've never used it before and I'm finding it a new beast if you will. A lot for me to figure out. I started this sketch off in Painter, first using a color pencil, and then blocking in with various oil and acrylic brushes. It wasn't quite looking the way I wanted, so I took it into PS and finished it off . . . just a sketch, or study . . . all in all took me about an hour and a half.

Funny!
great job! painter's what i use.
Awesome work Jason! I'm still working painter out!!! It seems designed for "mixed media" - I find it's very hard to get the right results unless I use several of the "mediums". I now have a custom brushes palette (mark sinclair showed me how to do this) which helps!!!
Now that's a facefull! Great job Jason...
Ohh, amazing work, congrats! :D
one hour and a half?....ok....i return to work....
Nice!
Nice one Jason.
A bit more loose and painterly but I'm sure there's a lot more you can do with this once you master it within... a week knowing you. Friggin hilarious. Love it.
friggin awesome dude!
Thanks guys . . . I haven't had much time yet this week to mess with painter . . . will do when I have some more time. Glad everyone enjoyed my take on the fat-face Gore!
I like it too, dont let that painter scare you off its a great program. Was the post title an unintended pun?
The new post is cool to I love black and white work when I can just focus without the colors to worry about.
Thanks David! ANd yeah, the pun was intended . . . seems as if you're the only one to get it. :)
GORE'bal warming...
