Getting my Sketch on at Starbucks !

I had a killer week, deadlines and all, not much sleep, not much time for sketching, just painting like a mad man to make my deadline! I finished a two page spread as well as a cover for Guitar Player in about six days . . . whew! I'm glad to be done, I'll post the work as soon as I can. Next in the mix is a 1/4 page illustration of the owner of the Dallas Cowboys for Dallas Magazine.

Today I snuck away while the girls were napping and did a few sketches at a Starbucks . . . excercise while sipp'n the good stuff!

Hello mister Seiler. I am a french art student (specialized in visual communication). I really like the art of caricature and portrait, that i try to practice since someone put a pencil in my hand (like many others i guess). I discovered your blog via Joe Blhum's blog... you're a boss! So I would be really happy if you spend few minutes to visit my blog and tell me what do you think about my work. There is the adress: theb.over-blog.com
I also wanted to tell you that i really like your dad sketches on toshop, great sensibility!
Good night.

Thank you all very much, I really appreciate the encouragement! I'm finishing up a piece right now for Dallas Magazine, a fun one for sure . . . so I will have some finished work to share here as soon as they're published. I'll have some more sketches as well as plein air paintings in the next week or two.

Tim, the middle sketch was sketched on my laptop with sketchbook pro . . . the best program for sketching!

Grigor, I go to the SB on Wilson Ave just West of Broadway . . . we should hook up anywhere would be fine . . . would be a blast man!
