In my new Studio.
A preview of a watercolor that I'm working on . . .
Today my daughter Isabeau spent some time hanging out with me in my studio. She was having fun playing around with my camera and took a couple pictures that I thought would be fun to share here.
As you can see I'm still working on my acrylic painting of Robert Bauer . . . I'm in the middle of a bunch of different paintings for various clients, so this painting has been a slow process. It drives me nuts to have to stop one painting and work on another. Sometimes it's hard to get back into the groove of that painting. Anyways, this painting is just about finished, I hope to finish it this week.
In this picture you can see my palette . . . for this painting I'm using Ivory Black, Yellow Ochre, Cadmium Red, Titanium White and a bit of Ultramarine to add to my Black. I'm using a Masterson's palette to mix my paint on.

Hi jason ,thank you for the photos. I like !! FANTASTIC acrylique !!
Jason, so interesting. I just completed a painting Monday very similar to your with the exception it was a bit larger and a female subject. Same background, same palette, same set-up.
Can't wait to see your finished piece. Love your work.
Hopefully your daughter is a better photographer than I, and doesn't drop the camera. Mine bit the dust yesterday having been much used and often dropped. She takes great photos!

best of luck for new studio.takecare!!
Hello Jason, my name is Pablo Pino. I am an admiring Argentine illustrator of your work. For a long time itself your work, you have been a great caricaturist and you own a great technique. Your works in acrylic, watercolor, digitalis are excellent. I value much that you share your experience with all we. Not to be spoken English for that reason never leaves messages but today I cheered up to use the translator of yahoo!. Not as it were written up this! certainly very badly! jajaja but I hope that something is understood.
I leave my blog you in case it interests to see something to you of my work. Itself waiting for but updates!
I congratulate and much luck again to you!
Pablo

Jason, do you hear a collective intake of breath everytime someone sees you are attempting to draw Chris Martin? ;)
I have to admit, apart from Mike Giblin's fine rendition (it's on his blog - March 2008), I can't say I've seen many, if at all but from looking at this sneak preview, it's looks amazing!!........by the way, is IS Chris Martin, right? :)
Fantastic works.
congratulations.
