El Pollo Loco!
This afternoon I took some high school art students to a local restaurant called "El Pollo Loco" and did some live sketching. We've talked for sometime now about going to a cafe or something to draw . . . and boy oh boy were there some interesting characters at "The Chicken Crazy" (as I like to call it).
This sketch is a quickie, took me about 8 minutes. What intrigued me about the "subject" I chose to sketch was not her weight, rather the wonderful shapes and flowing curves . . . . there was in fact food, or sauce dripping out of her mouth.

I ´m sure this drawing must be more a portrait than a caricature....
I like your art a lot, congrats
oh my gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaashhh...
I'll bet the kids went nuts as this one came together...!!!!
fun...
good one Jason!
Jason I think I saw her today.. but by that time it was at Starbucks. Nice you could show some real skills to the younger up-and-coming artists.
great sketch Jason....love the size of the feet...AWESOME!!!
How dare you, Jason! You ought to be ashamed of yourself. From now on you need to draw things that are square in shape and parallel to each other.
very well done the goober juice was really funny and a little gross that it was real.
really nice, i'm working on coffeeshopsketchgroup.blogspot.com, a place where people who like sketching in c-shops can post their stuff all in one place, but it's not entirely finished yet.
boy the last thing this lady needs is a burrito...
great drawing, 8 minutes!!!
Dude, totally disgusting!!! But we’re artist and we must draw what’s around us. Roderick de jesus, I’m never going to look at my pencil the same…to funny.
Thank you guys . . . . Antonio, that sounds like a cool idea!
cool.
It's all good man. It's not like you went over and showed her the drawing afterwards to mock her :)
Great drawing, btw. And those kids must have been pretty awe-struck, seeing your work. Hopefully you gave them a slideshow of your stuff?
This is awesome! what lucky students they are to be able to watch you in action, i'll admit i'm very jealous of them! Great stuff!
Marco . . . No, I didn't show her, but she did get up and walk past me. I quickly changed my screen to look like I was typing something. :) The kids know me well, I get together with them usually once a week to draw.
Thanks Jorge and Nelson!
ok, so you have some laptop/wacom setup going on there? or a cintiq? are you using sketchbook pro??

That lip/neck combo has been delighting me all day long.
Thanks guys! Yeah Antonio, I have a pc tablet laptop . . . cool for sketching in cafes . . . sketchbook pro.
